Summary: The significance and position of physicians assessing the working capacity in the contemporary modern health care system
is discussed. Assessment medicine is considered to be an essential field of medicine with incommutable role in the social
rehabilitation of patients and in the righteous, legitimate and adequate social politics of the democratic society.
