Summary:
At the district office of the General Health Insurance Company in the capital of Prague the revision activities are
divided into two departments - the health care department and the revision department. The revision department
is concerned with planned revisions, aimed revisions , to a smaller extent with assessment , sanctioning and
granting activities. Based on investigations in health facilities or on mere checking of invoices in the information
system a report is prepared which is processed by means of SLSTORNA, a tool of the information system. During
revisions the standard of the revision is emphasized as well as unequivical findings of the investigation in a health
institution. The revision report is sent first to the concerned institution for comment and after evaluation of the
financial consequences the report is put into effect.
