Summary:
Relations between the macroeconomic development and socio-economic aspects affecting the health care
consummation, namely in the most frequent civilization diseases, within the influence of the Metallurgists Health
InsuranceCompany are discussed in the paper.Theimportance of selected health status markers of the population
in the Czech Republic is stressed. The paper use analyses of the malignant tumours incidence in the register of
the Metallurgists Health Insurance Company during years 1994 to 1999 and deals with problems of revisory
medical officer participation in the secondary prevention. Attention is given to the prevention in oncology as a compulsory part of preventive examination. Its significance for early malignant tumours detection is stressed
and medicinal and socio-economic aspects are considered. Conclusions indicate that the reviewing and supervisory
activity aimed at the given problems is justified. First of all, it is necessary to concentrate at its quality. The
cooperation between the Health Insurance Companies and the National register of oncologic patients appears
highly beneficial though the contemporary legislation barrier.
