Summary: Authors describe an interesting case of acute pulmonary edema after intravenous application of 5 ml of tetrachloroethylene in
44-years-old man with suicidal intent. The course was favourable after treatment by corticosteroids. Transitory alteration of renal
and hepatic functions appeared. Comparison with the well-known damage after inhalation of tetrachloroethylene is discussed.
