The paper presents basic knowledge on diseases caused by hyperbaric environment. It mentions barotraumas, intoxications, decompression sickness and some other deviations from normal health status. Pathogenesis, prevention and treatment is discussed. The text is intended to practitioners taking care of divers or those interested in hyperbaric medicine.
