The paper defines the term “isolated arthrosis“, presents the review of morphological, rentgenological and clinical criteria for the assessment of affection. It highlights the influence of an isolated professional arthrosis of the joint on the kinesiologic chain of the whole extremity which results in the functional restriction of working potential. The contribution summarizes clinical experience of an orthopedic consultant of the centre of occupational diseases.
