Summary:
Juvenile pemphigus is a rare disease with similar course as pemphigus in adulthood. It begins
as stomatitis followed by skin disease. Its diagnosis may be delayed for several months. A case of
severe juvenile pemphigus in a 13-year-old girl with a 4-year follow up is described. The patient was
treated with corticosteroids, dapsone, azathioprine and intravenous immunoglobulins. The treat-
ment was complicated with serious adverse effects of corticosteroids.
