Summary: The aithors present a čase of a 13-year-old boy with hereditary hyperkeratosis, treated with oinments containing sdicylic acid, who developed clinicd signs and symptoms of intoxication. A major problém in this čase was the incomplete information given by the fanily about his previous sdicylate therapy. This čase points to severe sdicylate intoxication following its topicd application as well as to the importance of proper application of topicd keratolytic treatment
