Summary:

This study outlines General Practitioners' (GPs) opinions on the problems of adherence as learnt from questionnaires. In a previous publication (4) we presented the results determining the patients' attitude to phar-macotherapy (PT). Here we focus on GPs opinions and their views on the problems of communication with patients regarding pharmacotherapy (PT). Identification of the main reasons for the problém of non-adhe-rence and relativization of the patients' views compared with the General Practitioners' opinions may be the first step to solving this problém.

Key words: compliance, adherence, quality of health care, evaluation of pharmacotherapy, patienťs opinions, medicines (pills) taking, physician characteristic features, instruction for a patient, trust in a physician.
