The authors discuss two forms of hypertension during pregnancy, preeclampsia and chronic hypertension superimposed by preeclampsia, which imply a great danger for mother and foetus. Systematic follow up of all pregnant women suffering from this disease and collaboration of the general practitioner and gynaecologist proves useful.
