Summary:

We found during the retrospective evaluation of results in some of our patients with lead poisoning irregular records of radioisotope examinations of kidneys and the urinary tract which disappeared after the treatment of poisoning. After having compared our results with those found in the literature, we evaluate our results as an irregular drenage of intrarenal and extrarenal urinary pathways resulting from the spasm of their smooth musculature. A syndrome of an upper chalice manifested with the disorder of drenage of the neck of the upper chalice of the kidney. It is a new view on the activity of the smooth musculature of the urinary tract which reacts in a similar way as the gastrointestinal tract in lead poisoning. Other changes on kidneys were found using renography which indicated a transitory decrease of tubular functions.
