Summary:
The author describes a 60-year-old woman with the diagnosis of pemphigus vulgaris. The patient
contracted the disease at the age of 56 years. Systemic therapy with Prednisone and immunosup-
pressive preparations (Methotrexate, Imuran) brought only temporary relief. After remission always
a new exacerbation of the disease followed. After administration of adjuvant treatment with concen-
trated human polyvalent IgG - Endobulin i.v. in a total dose of 20 g a marked and rapid improvement
of the skin and mucosal manifestations occurred. The patient is now in remission since November
1997, at present she is treated with Prednisone 15 mg p.o. per day and Imuran 50 mg p.o. per day.
