Reticular Erythematous Mucinosis
Pock L. 1 , Abrhámová S. 2

1 Dermatohistopatologická laboratoř, Praha 8 2 Kožní ordinace, Teplice

Summary:

A 32-year-old woman suffered for 6 years on the inner side of both breasts from persistent erythematous foci with swollen margins on the smooth surface. The foci gradually spread in a lateral direction. The disease was subjectively asymptomatic. Bioptic examination of the affected skin revealed perivascular and perifollicular lymphocyte infiltrates affecting the entire dermis without epidermotropism. Also throughout the corium there were mucin deposits between the collagen fibres. Delagil treatment led to disappearance of the foci within four weeks.
