A group of six female patients diagnosed with rosacea fulminans between 1992 and 1999 was compared with cases of this relatively rare disease described in literature. The review of the cases indicates the association of rosacea fulminans with acne and emotional stress. Isotretinoin was the most effective drug used for treatment.
