The authors describe the tase of a man where accidentally sernm positivity for Syphilis was detected. Subsequent examination revealed that an advanced stage of the untreated disease with organ changes is involved. In hepatic tissue and lymph nodes a specific granulomatous inflammation was found. The authors provided evidence of atrophy of the brain manifested clinically as progresivne paralysis. These manifestations were detected already previously but their possible association with Syphilis was not assumed and therefore they were incorrectly diagnosed and were not adequately treated.
