The authors evaluated retrospectively for a period of the last three years neonates with critical congenital heart disease hospitalized in the hospital in Martin.The incidence of critical inborn heart disease in neonates born in Martin hospital was compared with data from the literature.They evaluated separately the onset of clinical manifestations in different inborn heart diseases,the time taken to assess the preliminary diagnosis,stabilization of the newborn and transport into the centre.The main attention was paid to evaluation of the interval between the first clinical symptoms to the transport of the child.The authors compared preliminary diagnoses of transported neonates with diagnoses which were assessed in the diagnostic centre in Bratislava.The main objective of the submitted work was to evaluate the assembled results,draw attention to problems associated with transport and the inevitability of mutual collaboration.
