The local application of heparin could be used in the therapy of some inflammatory complications of chronic venous disease. The authors present their experiences with application of Lioton 1000 gel in 32 patients with the diagnosis thrombophlebitis superficialis, hypodermitis and with the compli- cations after sclerotherapy. The significant improvement of induration, pain, swelling and limiting of the function was seen after 4-week application of Lioton 1000 gel.
