Radiofrequency ablation of Barrett’s esophagus.
Závada F.

Interní klinika 1. LFUK a ÚVN Praha, Přednosta: doc. MUDr. Miroslav Zavoral, Ph.D.

Summary:

Radiofrequency ablation is a newly developed technique for endoscopic treatment of Barrett’s esophagus. This therapeutic modality does not cause severe compliacations and is well tolerated by treated patients. First published results of human studies suggest that radiofrequency ablation is at least comparable to other modalities and does not give rise to the buried glands phenomenon.
