Summary: Granular parakeratosis is a rare, relatively recently described acquired keratinization disorder.
The patient in question is a 58-year old female suffering six months from stationary lunar foci of
brown hyperkeratosis in the sub-mammary region connected with itching and hardening of the skin.
Biopsy revealed extensive signs of granular parakeratosis. After one month of keratolytic therapy
the patient was healed and since then is 14 months in complete remission.
