Summary:

       The apallic syndrome develops as a result of traumatic brain damage. The authors describe in the submitted tase-record a Pacient after a head injury with subsequent severe brain damage and long-term apallic syndrome. They recommend to start as early as Possible in these Patients individual Psychotherapy and to ensure the Presence of the mother or another relative at the Patient's bedside.
