The authors describe two cases of successful closure of fistulae after administration of a depot analogue somatostatin lanreotide (Somatuline). A periproctal fistula after incision of a periproc- tal abscess and a viscerocutaneous fistula in a patient with Crohn's disease healed under conditi- ons of ambulatory treatment without the need of parenteral nutrition.
