Summary:

We describe the case of a 13-month-old child with highly increased ALP in serum (S-ALP 24.7 µkat/l) after bone marrow transplantation and subsequent liver graft versus host disease. We performed laboratory investigation of isoenzymes of alkaline phosphatase and we detected unusual fraction. We suggest that it corresponds of a complex of ALP with lipoprotein X.

Key words: alkaline phosphatase, isoenzymes of ALP, lipoprotein X.
