Summary:
There exists a small percentage of patients with metastatic germ cell tumours who have direct involvement
of the inferior vena cava or tumour thrombosis of the inferior vena cava. The authors describe a case of patient
with a bulky metastatic germ cell tumour with involvement of the inferior vena cava. Incidence, surgical
management and complications in patients with such extent of disease are reviewed.
