Atypical Ending of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder

Summary:

       The study deals with a concrete čase of posttraumatic stress disorder. This female patient underwent a very severe physical and psychical trauma toward the end of her 8th decennium caused by repeated rape during one day. She subsequently developed a posttraumatic stress disorder with almost fully developed clinical picture. The author describes expert examinations and opinions required for the police needs, and he subsequently deals with the course of the provided psychotherapy. The posttraumatic problems of the client suddenly ended after she underwent another severe physical injury and her attention was transferred to that acute physical trauma.
