Young’s Modified Operation in the Treatment of Relapsing Epistaxis in Hereditary Teleangiectasia

Summary:

       S u m m a r y: We present the case of a 65-year-old man with severe epistaxis under the diagnosis of hereditary haemorrhagic teleangiectasia. We performed Young’s modified procedure (closure of nostrils). This presents a not well known surgical procedure of epistaxis in patients with severe symptoms of HHT. In the article we present the surgical techniques and the follow-up 12 months after the operation.
