Summary:

Liposarcomas are relatively frequent among soft tissue sarcomas, but in head and neck region are rare; they make about 1% of all liposarcomas. Malignant forms are: well-differentiated, myxoid, round cell, pleomorphic, mixed-type and dedifferentiated. The prognosis of the patients with liposarcoma depends on the size, histotype and grading of tumor, presence of metastasis and quality of surgery. The surgical removal of the tumor is essential for the therapy. The planning of adjuvant therapy depends on grading and resectability of the tumor. Postoperative radioterapy is indicated in high grade liposarcomas, extensive low grade liposarcomas and in impossibility of tumor-free margins excision in low grade liposarcomas. In case of report no. 1 we present a patient with well-differentiated sarcoma of the tongue, treated surgically and in case of report no. 2 a patient with myxoid sarcoma of the larynx, treated surgically and by adjuvant radiotherapy. There is no sign of tumor recurrence in both patient.

        Key words: liposarcoma, well-differentiated, myxoid.
