Summary:

S u m m a r y: The authors analyzed data of five patients with primary non-Hodgkin lymphoma of the salivary gland who were diagnosed and operated during the last two years in their department. It is a lymphoma based on lymphoid tissue present in the area of epithelium of the ducts - mucosa associated lymphoid tissue (MALT). They were interested in the case-history, possibilities of cytodiagnosis, surgical treatment, subsequent oncological treatment, follow-up. Cytologically in two cases the findings were described as lymphoepithelial lesions, in one instance as a lymphoma. Surgery involved in two cases parotidectomy, twice extirpation of the tumour, once probatory excision. After surgery three patients had chemotherapy, two actinotherapy. The mean follow-up period is 20.4 months, the patients are free from signs of the original disease.

Key words: MALT lymphoma, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, salivary glands.
