Side-effects of Antidepressants in Out-patient Care
Dudová I.

Dětská psychiatrická klinika 2. LF UK a FN Motol, přednosta doc. MUDr. M. Hrdlička, CSc.

Summary:

The author deals with side-effects of antidepressants in 498 out-patients treated in the Military Hospital in Olomouc. The side-effects frequency of the antidepressants of the first generation was 40.6%, of the second generation 48.1%, of the third generation 22.4%, of the fourth generation 12.5% and of IMAO 34.7%. Occurrence of side-effects found in this study was compared to findings in literature. In our sample the antidepressants with better tolerance were used more often than medicaments with a higher occurrence of side-ffects. The antidepressants of the third generation and IMAO are becoming drugs of first choice for outatients.

Key words: antidepressants, side-effects, tolerance, out-patients.
