Summary:

This submission is based on my research into social representation of care in psychiatry by people with experience with hospitalization and social representation of people „mentally ill“ by students of psychology, medicine and nurse in psychiatry. Chosen method was focus group – discussion in small group on given thema. Research brings social representation of „mentally ill man“ by people, which study is aimed to care about other people. Picture of „mentally ill man“ in this departmental groups consists of so-called „expert view“ with their departmentally specifics, stereotyping with language exclusivity and view based on experiences. In the other part the research brings reflection of psychiatric care by so-called „patients“-most important for their „well being“ are good relationships with nurse-staff, with other patients, attentivness of psychologists and doctors, hearty and encouraged communication and whole atmosphere of clinic. Also social representation of helpfull professions rise up.

Key words: social representation-psychiatric care-students of psychology, medicine, nurse-mentally ill-helpfull professions.
