Summary:

       The authors present the tase of a 15-year-old girl with a gunshot injury of the head with the subsequent development of organic brain damage. The injury occurred under dramatic conditions which caused the comcurrent development of a stress-conditioned disorder. In the clinical picture intermingled symptoms of organic and psychotraumatic affection which was very difficult to impossible differentiate. The tase-history is supplemented by a theoretical review of the problem and discussion of the differential diagnosis of the symptoms.
