Summary: The authors discuss the technique of identification and biopsy of sentinel lymph nodes in tumors of the upper gastrointestinal tract. They describe difficulties and problems of the technique, in which the identified sentinel lymph node is obtained main-ly employing endoscopical and minimally invasive techniques.
