Summary:
The authors’ aim is to summarize and generalize the knowledge acquired in the course of the last eight years of
work with children with extensive burns. Reconstructive surgeries show a certain specific feature consisting in the
considerable extent of the scarred area often exceeding 50% of the body surface, and with the gradual increase
in number of operations they are gaining importance.
