Summary:
This article has followed the previous report by A. Hojdarová
et al.: Congenital Nystagmus in Otoneurology, and has been
trying to ellucidate this boundary problem of the two branches
from the view of neuroophthalmology. Here, congenital
nystagmus is understood as a distinctive, definitely formed
clinical entity, and besides diagnostics, the attention is also paid
to therapeutical possibilities demonstrated in two short casereports.
The conception of otologists armed especially with
electronystagmography, seems to be broader. A closer
cooperation of these branches in this field will be undoubtedly
beneficial both to them and their common patients.
