The values of hourly diuresis in 40 patients with extensive burns were investigated and expressed graphically dur- ing the stage of burn shock. By analysis of the values and the patient’s condition, a marked effect of the mental state on the course of burn shock and further treatment at the intensive care unit of the Prague Burns Centre was found. On a preliminary basis the effects of some drugs on the values of hourly diuresis were investigated.
