SPECT: The Use of the Jaszczak Phantom for Evaluating Tomographic Parameters of Scintillation Cameras
Nechvíl K.

Oddělení lékařské fyziky, Nemocnice Na Homolce, Praha, vedoucí doc. ing. J. Novotný, CSc.

Summary:

The study emphasizes the importance of tomographic parameters for the quality of SPECT (single photon emission computed tomography) image and presents the procedure for their measurement with the use of a cylinder Jaszczak phantom. Specific procedures for calculating individual tomographic parameters are described and the obtained results are presented. The calculated values of individual parameters are compared with the results of an extensive study published abroad. In conclusion, the possibilities of implementation of recommended procedures into clinical practice are evaluated and analyzed.
