Summary: Assisted reproductive technologies (ART) are taking a bigger part in infertility treatment.There
is a certain order in infertility investigation. When the cause of infertility is known, the
treatment starts from the most easy procedures to the most complicated ones. ART are
undergoing a rapid development - especially in the laboratory part with the possibility of
preimplantation genetic assessment of embryonal chromosomes.
Infertility treatment can start at the gynaecologist, the specialised procedures can take place
at special centers. Infertility treatment is multidisciplinary.
