Summary: There is the increase in colorectal cancer incidence in Japan. The increase in the rate of colon cancer compared with rectal cancer was
noticed. The proximal migration of the tumor site from the left colon to right colon is shown in the study. The evident shift toward earlier
stage was clearly revealed. According to the extended lymph node resection, the improvement of overall 5-year survival rate from 55%
to 69% is important trend.
