Summary:

Celiac disease is an important cause of primary malabsorption syndrome mostly in moderate climates. Histologically is characterized by atrophy in small intestinal mucosa, clinically by symptoms of malabsorption – steatorea, loosing of waight, anaemia and weakness. Celiaka is also precancerosis, because it tends to formation of intestinal lymphoma and also other malignancies in gastrointestinal region. For the diagnosis and screening of the disease except clinical appearance and laboratory findings, antibodies play their important role. For most cases, biopsy from deep duodenal endoscopy is enough for the diagnosis. Jejunoscopy play its role in duodenal diseases that imitate celiakia by their histological picture, and also for the diagnosis of complications, mainly of intestinal lymphoma.

Key words: celiac disease – jejunoscopy – intestinal lymphoma
