The control ofmammography quality was performed at 30 workplaces in the Czech Republic in two stages: 1999–2000 and 2000–2001. A series of parameters of themammograms weremeasuredwithin the framework of the long-termstability test.Moreover, the equipment of the workplaces to perform the constancy test, quality of film processing and the viewing conditions were evaluated. The results of both stages were compared. It became obvious that the values of parameters measured within the framework of the test of long-term stability were suitable at most workplaces. Considerable shortcomings were found, however, in the equipment of workplaces to perform constancy tests as well as for evaluation of quality in film processing and viewing conditions.
