For the purpose of elaborating a radiological information system the author analyzed information currents and relations at a typical Czech radiodiagnostic workplace. In the first place an information system was created. Evidence which was to be used for work in the network and for MS DOS. This system was gradually extended by further modules as required by users and changes in reports of operations for the health insurance company. For testing of the transmission of graphic informa- tion images of some modalities were used, obtained above all by digitalization of the video signal. For creation of a comprehensive information system which archivation of all graphic documentation however adequate financial funds were lacking.
