We have repeatedly measured levels of noise in four types of incubators at the neonatologicaldepartment becausewemeasuredhigh levels of noise in incubators in 1990. We found significant decrease of the equivalent level of noise in currently used incubators compared to the older ones. We refer to several external sources of noise affecting newborns in incubators which were found during measuring and we present possibilities of their elimination.
