Summary:
The article brings to the reader’s attention rare non-infectious causes of aseptic meningitis, e.g.,
Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada syndrome, Behçet syndrome, neurosarcoidosis, Mollaret meningitis and drug
and chemical induced. The review is supplemented by a case report of uveomeningitis that closely
approximates the presentation of Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada syndrome. Subjective symptoms, fever, cerebrospinal
fluid analysisand fundus examination disappearedafter corticotherapy.The patient recovered
without any vision deficit and remained without recurrence for two years.
