Summary:

Digital subtraction hysterosalpingography (HSG) is an imaging diagnostic method, which brings a principal progress in the diagnostics and therapy of fertility disorders. The subtraction wipes out the interfering image of native pelvis picture; the resulting HSG picture therefore includes only the quality filling of the hollow system of the reproduction apparatus by the contrast medium. For the sake of evaluation it is possible to select suitable images from the magnetic record and to evaluate the course and dynamismofHSGin individual phases of the hollowsystemfilling.Newopportunities are open to determine the causes of fertility disorders exactly. The digital subtraction hysterosalpingography shift HSG from the group of classical examinations into modern and reliable imaging methods.
