Summary:
Aim: The aim rfthis study is topresent a čase- review of a patient with an extremely rare finding of a sditary matastasis of the cdorectal carcinoma in his prostatě.
Methodology: A Case-Review.
Results: The study deseribes a čase rf a 42-year-dd patient whounderwent abdominoperineal amputaticn for the rectal carcinoma pT3 NI MO with complementary actinotherapy and chemotherapy. Three years after his rectum amputatioa, a CT scan disclosed a hypodense focus in his prostatě rf unkncwn origin. Elevaticn rf the CEA was feund upen laboratay examinaticn, ether tumor markers including the PSA were not abnormal. The positrcne emission tomcghraphy (PET) did not disclose other distant foci. The patient was administered 4 ecurses rfchemrfherapy with ,basically, nosigns tf regressicn in the prostatě foci. Biopsy from the suspicious focus was cenducted transperitcneally, fdlcwed by its histdogical examinaticn which cenfirmed eribriferm adenocarcino ma. Our team decided cn salvage cysteprostatectomy , securing urine derivaticn by the ilium cenduit. 6 menths later, the CT examinaticn shcwed a massive local relaps and twometastatic foci in the liver, further enedogical therapy was nrf indicated. The patient died 7 mrfhs after the radical cystoprcstatectcmy.
Conclusion: This čase- review ponts - eut a pcssibility rfmetastatic prostatě affectiens cennected to the ederectal carcinema diserder, as well as its treatment procedures
