Summary:

Knowledge of the basic principles of biomechanics makes it possible to understand the complex problem of ontogenesis of human movement. The ontogenesis of human motor can be characterized as acquisition of the ability to find a centre of gravity and to maintain or intentionally alter its position in space. This is made possible by intentional change of the tightness of connecting segments by controlled muscular activity and the use of external forces. The CNS controls the position of the centre of gravity via coordinated muscular activity.

Key words: ontogenesis of motor behaviour, centre of gravity, supporting base
