Fibromyalgia is one of the most common causes of skeletal muscle pain. The article deals with its diagno sis, the differential diagnosis of fibromyalgias, and highlights its relation to chronic fatigue syndrome, multiple chemical sensitivity syndrome, and myofascial pain syndrome.
