Summary:
The article is dedicated to the theoretical and practical aspects of a diagnostic process in primary health care. Attention is paid to the limitations of the diagnostic process, sources of errors, and possibilities for their prevention and elimination. The effect of diagnostic assistant systems on physicians' decisions is discussed. Possible consequences for the health care system and the current system of postgraduate education are deduced.
