Dislocated fractures of the anterior and posterior wall of the acetabulum and sacral bone and lysis of SI syndesmoses and insignificant lateral dislocations can be fixed by percutaneous insertion of screws under CT control. The original „free-hand technique“ was replaced by a more accurate method using a surgical frame with an attached digital protractor which increases the accuracy of introduction of instruments. The whole operation is implemented in a CT department and the position of the instruments is checked by individual CT scans. Authors do not possess a CT sciascopic programme. The patient is in the majority of cases 1 in a prone position and the whole operation is implemented under epidural anaesthesia, only in restless patients and those in a serious condition general anesthesia is necessary. From August 1993 till September 2000 the authors inserted 73 screws in 65 patients. In the area of the acetabulum fixation was implemented 17x, in the area of SI articulation 52x (29x on the right side and 36x on the left side).
