Summary:
Pyoderma gangrenosum (PG) is a chronic dermatosis characterized by a progressive process
with the formation of ulcers with undermined and violet margins. There is a connection with
various general diseases (systemic diseases of connective tissue, haematological abnormalities,
GIT diseases, ulcerous colitis etc.). The therapy is based on identification and treatment of the
basic disease and in a systemic administration of corticoids. The paper describes the case of a
38-year female patient with the above-mentioned diagnosis.
