Summary: Postcannulation stenosis of the trachea remains serious medical problem. Its frequency has been increasing with improvement of intensive care.
The authors describe one case of postcannulation stenosis. In discussion is stated the pathogenetic mechanism, prevention and therapy of benign
postcannulation stenosis.
